Far Far West PS5, Xbox and Switch Availability
There is no console version and no announced plan for one. Here is what the store listing proves, where the false port claims come from, and the channels that would break the news first.

Current status
As of October 28, 2026, Far Far West is available on Windows via Steam only. No PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo version has been announced, rated, or listed. The Steam page's platform block names Windows alone, and the game has been in Early Access since April 28, 2026.
The question arrives in three forms — is it on PS5, is it on Xbox, is it on Switch — and all three have the same answer right now. What differs is the quality of the evidence you will find if you search, because this is a topic where aggregator sites have filled a vacuum with confident nonsense.
Platform status, one row at a time
| Platform | Status | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Windows (Steam) | Available, Early Access | Store listing, only platform named |
| PlayStation 5 | No version | No store listing, no announcement |
| PlayStation 4 | No version | No store listing, no announcement |
| Xbox Series X|S | No version | No store listing, no announcement |
| Xbox One | No version | No store listing, no announcement |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | No version | No store listing, no announcement |
| Nintendo Switch | No version | No store listing, no announcement |
| macOS / Linux | No version | Not named on the store listing |
Every independent outlet that has checked the same question reaches the same conclusion, and the strongest single piece of evidence is negative: the game's official Discord FAQ, per two separate reports, does not mention consoles at all. A studio actively porting a game usually says so somewhere.
Why there is no console version yet
Evil Raptor is described on its own store page as an eight-person team running an Early Access period of roughly twelve months. That is the whole explanation.
A console release is not a build flag. It is a second certification process, a second performance target, a second patch pipeline, and — for a co-op game — a second online layer that has to be maintained alongside the first. For a team that size, doing it before the PC version has settled would split the thing that needs to be whole.
There is also nothing broken about the current arrangement from the developer's perspective. The game launched into Early Access with a stated plan to add weapons, enemies, modes, and cosmetics before 1.0. Porting is a decision you make after the design stops moving.
The claim you will find on other sites
At least one site publishes a FAQ stating that the developers plan to bring Far Far West to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in late 2026, with crossplay "in testing." That claim is not supported by the store page, the official Discord, the publisher, or any hands-on coverage. It reads as invented filler on a page assembled to answer search queries.
The tell is structural, not subtle. The same page describes bosses and mechanics that contradict every first-hand account, in a confident register with no sourcing. When a site predicts a date that no primary source has ever mentioned, the date is the least reliable part of the sentence.
Treat the absence of an announcement as the announcement. This site will not fill that gap with a guess.
How to follow it properly
Four channels, in order of how early they would carry real news.
The Steam news hub. Developer posts about roadmap, content, and platforms appear here first because it reaches the largest slice of the existing audience. It is also the one channel you can check without an account.
The official Discord. Linked from the store page, and the place where platform questions get answered or conspicuously ignored. Two outlets noted the FAQ's silence on consoles; if that changes, this is where it changes.
The developer and publisher accounts. Evil Raptor and Fireshine Games both post announcements, and a port is a publishing decision as much as a development one.
Storefront search. The bluntest verification: search the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo eShop for the title. When a listing appears, the port is real. Until then, nothing else counts.
A reasonable cadence is once a quarter, or after any major content update. Checking daily will only expose you to more speculation.
What would count as a real announcement
Three markers, in ascending order of certainty.
A store page on a console storefront, even a placeholder, is close to confirmation — platforms do not usually list titles speculatively.
A rating board classification is strong but not conclusive; games get rated for platforms that later change.
An official statement with a window from the developer or publisher is the only thing worth planning around. Note that a window is not a date, and for an Early Access title a window announced before 1.0 is a statement of intent rather than a schedule.
If you only own a console
There is no workaround. No cloud version, no console streaming, no backward-compatible build. The game requires a Windows machine that meets the specs in /platforms/pc-system-requirements, and a co-op session requires every player to own it on Steam — the details are in /guide/crossplay-guide.
If you are weighing a PC purchase against waiting, the honest framing is that the game is mid-Early Access with a stated plan to add content before 1.0. Buying now means buying an unfinished build; waiting costs nothing but time, and the store page states that Early Access buyers receive the full release at no extra charge.
For how the game compares to a co-op shooter that already spans PC and consoles, see /compare/vs-deep-rock-galactic. For what a new player actually does in the first hour, /guide/far-far-west-beginner-guide. Everything else about contracts, bosses, and progression is indexed from /guide.
The short version
Windows only, Steam only, no port announced. Any site giving you a console date is guessing. Watch the Steam news hub, search the console storefronts, and believe the listing when it appears.
Is Far Far West coming to PS5?
No announcement exists, and no PlayStation store listing exists. Anyone stating a release window is speculating without a source; the developers have not commented on a PlayStation version at all.
Will it run on Xbox Game Pass?
Nothing suggests it. The game is a Steam Early Access release, Game Pass has not been mentioned by the developer or publisher, and a subscription launch would be announced through official channels first.
Is there a Switch 2 version planned?
No. Switch 2 is technically a more plausible port target than the original Switch, but plausibility is not a plan, and no announcement, rating, or listing exists for either device.
Does buying on PC now include a future console version?
Unknown and unlikely to be promised. The store page only commits to Early Access buyers receiving the 1.0 PC release at no extra charge. It says nothing about other platforms.
